1. Which project did you have the most personal connection with this year? Why?
I had the most personal connection with the socialization and identity project. I felt connected with this project because of the fact that it allowed for a large amount of introspection and understanding of why I am who I am.
2. What have you learned (skill, lesson, or knowledge) this year that will be most helpful for you in the
future?
I have learned that all things in life can be changed, no matter how insurmountably large the challenge may be. I learned this through the socialization and identity project.
3. What project or projects have you done this year that have inspired you to want to learn more? Explain how you were inspired.
The tragedy project made me want to learn more. This was due to the fact that once I had learned about the problems in our world, i now need to know how to solve them and make a better world.
4. How has your attitude toward learning changed this year?
To be honest, my attitude towards learning hasn't changed this year. With this said, my attitude towards SCHOOL has changed so that like never before, I enjoy school.
5. What connections have you made this year between what you have learned in your classes and your own personal experiences outside of school?
This year I have made connections between the socialization project and how I treat others. I now realize that each person is merely a conglomeration of their socializational influences and that I should thusly treat everyone with respect.
6. How have your learning and experiences at AHS this year changed the way you see the world?
My learning experiences at Animas have taught me that the world is not set in stone. The world is fluid and can be changed for the better.
7. What work from this year would you like to look back on and remember when you are a graduating senior?
I want to look back on the happiness project, and all of the effort my art piece took me.
You as a Student and a Learner (Your Work and Your Work Habits):
1. What is the most important change that you have made as a learner this year?
The most important change I made this year was to become aware of the fact that I learn best in a project based curriculum.
2. How have you taken an active role in your education this year?
I have taken an active role in my education by choosing to learn the given material through means which are meaningful and interesting to me.
3. What piece of work that you’ve done this year are you proudest of? Why?
I am most proud of my work on coding iteration and my independent study on coding this year. This is due to the self driven nature of this work.
4. If you could go back and refine one piece of work this year, what piece of work would you refine and how would you refine it?
I would go back and refine my Happiness art piece. I would refold the pheonix in its entirety and I would add details to the design.
5. If you were the teacher, what comments would your teacher make about your work habits?
If I were to comment on my own work habits as a teacher, I would say that I am a very self motivated individual and strive to produce quality work.
6. What might you want next year’s teacher to know about your work habits?
I would like them to know that I am a very self motivated worker and that I care alot about the quality of my work.
7. What is the most difficult thing you have done this year? Why was it difficult, and how did you deal with that difficulty?
The most difficult this I have done this year was learn that I can not succeed in my education and life alone.
8. How has group collaboration helped you as a student?
Group collaboration has allowed me to refine my leadership ability and my social skills.

1. What would you say to an incoming 9th grader about how to succeed in project based learning?
I would tell them to care about the work they produce, and tell them to invest themselves into the work they do.
2. How have any of the habits of heart and mind helped you be successful as a student or person?
The habit of heart and mind refinement has helped me become a better student. This habit allowed me to chisel my work into a final state and make it the best possible assignment I could complete.
3. How has a relationship with a faculty member helped you be more successful in school this year?
My relationship with my math teacher Hannah has helped me be more successful this year by allowing me to fully comprehend difficult concepts.
4. How has the work in Advisory helped you grow or change as a student, as a friend, and as a citizen?
My work in advisory has developed me as a person by allowing for me to better me leadership skills.
5. Project based learning is a different model than traditional models of education. Explain how Project based learning has influenced your learning and your production of work.
Project based learning and specifically Animas' philosophy of teaching depth over breadth has really allowed me to grasp concepts I was previously unclear on.
